Arrived Pell City!

Today was exhausting. We flew three legs, with a 3hr 30+ minute flight as our second leg. We roasted in Oklahoma and froze at 9,500 feet over Texas. We navigated developing cloud layers and thunderstorms, a sporty cross wind in Sulphur Springs, and made it safely to KPLR with 30 minutes to spare before the cutoff time for today’s flying.

Pell City welcomed us with BBQ, the most amazing side dishes, banana pudding, and lots of sweet tea. This was our first real meal today and it was delicious. The volunteers at all of our stops have gone out of their way to welcome and support us.

We have flown 1,765 miles in three days. Tomorrow we have 536 miles to complete before 5:30pm eastern time. We expect fog in the morning and some thunderstorms in Florida, so we will be racing against the clock to complete our last six hours of flying.
