Isabel Innes is a 3L at University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Isabel is concentrating her legal education on corporate transactional law, contract drafting and negotiation, and real estate. Isabel is outgoing Vice President of the Business Law Society.
Prior to law school Isabel worked for the U.S. Embassy in London and Lisbon. She held a SECRET security clearance and managed the implementation of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), connecting U.S. corporations with the U.S. Diplomatic core on security concerns within Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula. She also worked to uncover and prevent visa fraud, coordinating with Customs and Border Control (CBP) on the synchronization of visa data between Fraud Prevention Unit, Diplomatic Security and CBP.
Isabel graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science (honors). She is fluent in Spanish/Castilian with intermediate proficiency in Catalan.
